San Diego California, U.S.A
San Diego, founded as a military post in 1602, is the second most populous city in California, after Los Angeles. Located in the southwestern corner of the state of California, and thus in the southwestern corner of the continental United States, San Diego is appreciated for its year round temperate climate, excellent beaches, and the country's largest urban park, Balboa Park. Beneath the modern skyline lies historic buildings in the Gaslamp quarter, as well as Old Town. Thanks to one of the world's great natural harbors, San Diego is home to the US naval fleet. San Diego is called "America's finest city" by its residents..
the Old Town Old Town San Diego is considered the "birthplace" of California. San Diego is the site of the first permanent Spanish settlement in California |

ReplyDeleteI have been to California but never managed to get to San Diego will have to check it out on my next visit to the USA, sounds exciting.
ReplyDeleteI stopped in San Diego while on a Mexican Cruise. I made a fun discovery there that I think might be beneficial to others. At the harbor there is a maritime museum that has all kinds of interesting things. When I was there they had, among other things the ship that was used in the movie "Master and Commander" which was worth the price of admission. But I found out that for another five dollars they would throw in a boat tour of the harbor. It was a fun little tour and for the price you really couldn't beat it. The stand alone harbor tours cost several times that amount.
