How is Happiness connected with traveling?

Boxholm Sweden
These days I hear a motto that made me think about it for a while, and through these lines I would like to share my thoughts.

"Happiness is a way of travel not a destination"

Just think about it, is that true?
Do you agree with that?
...and if it is a way of travel how should we "travel" then? (how should we act in our daily life).

  1. For me, happiness is neither a way of travel nor a destination. I believe that happiness is an emotion that sometimes lasts only for a second. No one can be happy for ever, but he/she can FEEL happy. And, the next second/moment/day/month/year the same happy person might feel the most miserable of all... Anyway, I do believe, however, that the way of travel, that is our daily actions, thoughts or words, do affect emotions and can "provoke" happiness even for this very second. And, traveling is a clever "action" in order to "gain" moments of happiness and create memories that would last for a lifetime.

  2. For the most part I believe that we may choose to be happy in our circumstances...it is certainly not easy to do and in some instances it might be next to impossible, but we can try. As far as travel and happiness, I used to travel nearly full time as a part of my job. That travel did not necessarily make me happy...until I decided to stop and "smell the roses” once in a while. I tried to broaden my horizons and add a bit of variety to my business travel routine. But really I have come to the conclusion that travel is best when you share it with someone else. Seeing or experiencing something new and beautiful is made all the more real and beautiful when you share it with someone else.
